The Knights Landing Fire Protection District (KLFPD) was formed in 1942 and is authorized to provide fire protection and emergency response services. It was formed as a dependent district to Yolo County, which delegated its decision making to a local Fire Commision consisting of Five members, each appointed by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors to serve Four-year terms.
KLFPD is 23 Square Miles in size and serves the unincorporated town of Knights Landing and the surrounding rural area. The entire District contains 423 residential and 22 commercial addresses and its residential popuplation is estimated to be 1,058 residents.
